The Dish
2024
The Dish exists to question food practices, and whether or not ‘things’ are moving away from a greater good for all that food means to people. The object in question is ‘a single buffalo wing from Brewdog Waterloo on a Wednesday’. The essay comes in three divisions, the first, being the scale at which chicken  ‘arrives on the plate’ in the UK. The second, the pub, its history, its modern take. Lastly, a personal review of the dish and the location in light of this new considered material.
This zine is my outcome to our Ecology, Philosophy and Design lecture series (EP&D). We were asked to investigate an object (in the broadest sense) and follow its associations. This project allowed consideration of an object and the network, functional or not, that it exists in.
